INCE 1973, BUSINESSES OF ALL TYPES AND SIZES have engaged the studio to help them with their communications.

Over 2000 identity, print, packaging, advertising and web projects give credence to a long and successful history of design work for privately-held business and non-profits. While based in Boulder, I have worked with clients locally, nationally, and in Europe and Asia.

My focus has not been on staff growth, but on giving my clients the personal attention they deserve and on doing great work. I function as main client contact, creative director and designer for the studio. Should they be needed, I have a stable of proven, talented people to call upon to contribute to any aspect of any project.

It’s simple math. No clients = no studio. Great clients = great work. These fine people and organizations have helped to keep it going.

The studio is a river rock building perched on Lover’s Hill in central Boulder. The office utilizes 100% wind-generated energy and is Pace certified.

Design is always a team effort. Sometimes the team is comprised simply of the client and myself. At other times, very talented illustrators, photographers, writers, and designers contribute to the project. Collaborators have included:
